The Story

Sometimes, life saves the best for last.

This happened to be true in my experience at Arches National Park. After hours of shooting and trudging through sand and heat, I thought I was done for the day. I was ready to pack it up. However, then I discovered the significance of the Double Arch.

This shot is a result of learning that the Double Arch is where the opening scene of “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” was filmed. Upon that discovery, I couldn’t stop snapping.

I’m a big Indiana Jones fan. The heat and sand suddenly became no big deal as I recalled scenes from the movie. The typical southwest scenery was brought to life as I imagined Jones’ adventures unfolding before my eyes.

Being in the exact spot as the film, this is now my adventure shot.
